Day 2!

Greetings Family and Friends!

Brent here... We just completed our first solid day here in South Africa at Bridges! Today's schedule looked a little bit different because none of the students from Bridges have yet quite arrived.

We had the opportunity to spend our day outside, enjoying the beauty here in Africa! The landscape here is truly unique and set apart from most anything we have in the States! We all got to take in the beauty of the colors in the sunrise, the smells, and sounds of native birds and other animals were awesome. The morning and afternoons focus was mainly one enjoying South Africa's beauty and spending time growing closer as a team.

Later in the afternoon we finally unpacked all of our supply bags, sorting everything as we prep for Women's day tomorrow in Sweet Home. We then spent some time polishing up our Beiber dance moves (yup, you read that correct) for our grand Bridges talent show show-stopper!

We ended our night with some devotion and final preparations for tomorrow. We have an early start and we'll be hitting the ground running! Continued prayers for health (some sort of sniffle yuck has been going around) and for the arrival of all the academy kids tomorrow!

PS-Thanks for all the comments! We love reading them aloud nightly after devotions!

p.s. - someone PUH-LEASE video the dance and put it on the blog. All of us back home would LOVE to share in your show-stopper!!
May God's peace be upon you all and may you know that you are his light to shine. :)

To MOLLY: The Hills signed papers 5 mins ago and are wiring money now.
So dig in over there and let your mind be at ease!

  5. So thankful you all arrived safely and praying that God will accomplish all He has planned through all of you!

Incidentally, we couldn't help but notice that Dustin seems a little "inquisitive" in the pic :)

  8. Thinking of you team! You've just seen sweet home and you've met Sisansa and the Che's. What a day to be able to just love and bless those women. Praying for your hearts. You've now seen the two extremes of South Africa. The beauty of the land and the beauty of God's people. I have a feeling that tonight might be heavy. Isaiah 61 might be a good one to stop and read. Our God is good. Praying that the Spirit would fill you with joy and strength for tomorrow.
